In this two day workshop, you will explore plain weave, rya and various tapestry techniques while using a variety of materials. We will focus on weavings from artists such as Sheila Hicks, Suzanne Tick, and Anni Albers. Each day we will explore different techniques, allowing you to walk away with a weaving of your own! It is encouraged that participants bring their own "non-traditional" materials such as jeans, tees, ties, fabrics, plastic bags, etc.
